THE PROFESSION OF FAITH: WHAT WE BELIEVE During November, Sunday morning classes for adults will explore the basic statements of faith made in both the Apostles’ and Nicene Creeds. This four- week series supplements and enriches Why Catholic, the small group-based formation program exploring what it means to be Catholic. Presenters for the Sunday morning classes are Patout Burns, Edward A. Malloy Profess of Catholic Studies at Vanderbilt Divinity School, and David Dault, assistant professor of Theology at American Baptist College. The classes take place in room 303 St. Albert Hall from 9:45- 10:45 a.m. All are welcome and encouraged to attend. November 2: The Origin and Purpose of Creeds – Different Kinds of Creeds and their use. (Patout Burns) November 9: The First Confession: God the Father and Creator (Patout Burns) November 16: The Second Confession: God the Son and Savior (Patout Burns) November 23: The Third and Fourth Confessions: God the Spirit and Sanctifier and The Church in the Creed (David Dault)
