SECOND SUNDAY EVENINGS AT CATHEDRAL – NEW ADULT DISCUSSION SERIES BEGINS
On September 13, Cathedral begins the new SECOND SUNDAY ADULT DISCUSSION SERIES. The sessions will take place following the 6:00 p.m. mass, and will address a current social concern from the perspective of Catholic social teachings.
The first session takes place Sunday, September 13 at 7 p.m. in room 303 of St. Albert Hall. Pizza and beverages will be served – a good will offering will be received.
TOPIC FOR SEPTEMBER 13:
CUT POVERTY IN HALF BY 2020 – THE CATHOLIC CHARITIES CAMPAIGN TO REDUCE POVERTY, Presenter: Randi Armour, MSSW, Catholic Charities of Tennessee.
Randi Armour leads local implementation of the Catholic Charities USA Campaign to Reduce Poverty in America. She will present a brief overview of this national campaign, review legislative efforts to reduce poverty, and present tips for maximizing our advocacy efforts.
