LOCATIONS WANTED!

Nick Greco, Roman Pohlid, Andrew Raetzloff, Jimmy Walsh, and Stuart Littleton
 Photographer -John Hupka

Members of the Knights of Columbus, Council #544, under the direction of Stuart Littleton, are
always looking for a good place to display the “Choose Life” sign. This sign represents the Knights’ strong support for the Pro-Life cause, and our effort to spread the word to others in the hope that this message will reach the hearts and minds of all who encounter it. Council #544 has raised the sign in three separate locations over the last two years – the Cathedral of the Incarnation, St. Mary’s Villa, and currently it stands at the Church of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary in Germantown. The sign is taken down after about 2 -3 weeks of public display. If you are interested in having the sign displayed at a certain location, please contact Stuart Littleton at stuartal@comcast.net, or Jimmy Walsh at jwalsh@dialpro.com.

The Cathedral Knights of Columbus Council #544 is the oldest Council in the South. In December 2000, we celebrated our 100th anniversary. Council #544 is one of over 12,000 Councils in the Order of the Knights of Columbus. There are more than 1,600,000 men in the Order and all are devoted to service to church, community, family and youth.

Membership in the Knights of Columbus is open to practical Catholic men in union with the Holy See. The member shall not be less than 18 years of age. A practical Catholic is one who lives up to the Commandments of God and the Precepts of the Church.

Membership offers the opportunity for fellowship with those who are of the same belief, who recognize the same duty to God, to family and to neighbor and who stand side by side in defense of those beliefs. Various programs are offered to appeal to the individual interest of the members. Through many activities, members are enabled to serve their Church, their country and their fellow man. Through membership, they develop a consciousness of their ability to lead and to assist.

Council #544 meets every 2nd Wednesday of the month at 7:00 p.m. in St. Albert Hall.
Applications are available from any member of the Knights of Columbus. Every knight is happy to propose eligible Catholic men for consideration as members. Our membership director will be happy to handle new member inquiries. Please email him at
kc544@cathedralnashville.org.
