Meet the Staff
 
Pastor
Reverend Patrick J. Kibby, a native of Nashville, Tennessee is pastor of the Cathedral of the Incarnation. He holds a Masters Degree in Divinity and was ordained a priest on June 1, 1984. As pastor, Father Kibby counsels and administers the sacraments to the many parishioners of the Cathedral. In addition to being the administrator of the Cathedral office, he attends parish council, business and financial meetings. Not only is he active in various Cathedral committees and ministries, he also involves himself in many community projects and concerns.

Associate Pastor

Reverend Zacharias Payikat, C.M.I.
celebrated 50 years in religious life in 2008.  Fr. Zachary is a member of the community of the Carmelites of Mary Immaculate founded in India. There he served as a Professor of Economics and President of the University.  Also he has served the Carmelite Community through the office of Prior. Fr. Zachary began service in the Diocese of  Nashville in 1999 as founding member of the Carmelite Center for Spirituality in Liberty, TN.  At the same time he has served a number of parishes throughout the diocese.  zpayikat@cathedralnashville.org 
 

Deacon
Mark Faulkner, originally from St. Paul, Minnesota, is one of the three Deacons of the Cathedral of the Incarnation. He is President and owner of Besway Systems, Inc. Mark was ordained on May 14, 1999. He holds a degree in Physics from the University of Dallas. Mark is married to Sue and they have four children: Shannon, Joseph, Matt and Peter.

Deacon
John Krenson is one of the Deacons at Cathedral and was ordained in May 1999. He is a native Nashvillian and attended Fr. Ryan High School and Marquette University. He is a private consultant assisting individuals and organizations to maximize their performance. He also serves in the Army National Guard and was deployed to Afghanistan for Operation Enduring Freedom and later to Mississippi in support of Hurricane Katrina disaster relief efforts. He is married to Carrie Krenson and they have two children, daughter Dasha and son Evan

Deacon
Jim McKenzie is a native of Nashville. Besides his work at the Cathedral he is the Director of the Office of the Diaconate for the Diocese and is responsible for the formation program for men studying to be ordained deacons, and the life and ministry of ordained deacons in the Diocese of Nashville. He holds a BS degree in Nursing from Belmont University and specialized in Anesthesia for his graduate studies at Middle Tennessee School of Anesthesia. Deacon
Thales Finchum, originally from east Tennessee, has lived in Nashville for 43 years. He has been a  police officer for 33 years (retiring July 17, 2006) and a retired military officer. Thales served in the U.S. Army in Vietnam and with the Tennessee National Guard. He holds an associate degree in Fine Arts from Watkins Institute.  Thales was ordained on June 9, 2006. Thales has been married to Kate for 37 years and they have three children, eight grandchildren, four dogs and one cat.

Director of Religious Education
Suzanne Southworth, a native of Nashville, is Director of Religious Education. Suzanne came to the Cathedral in 2001 with prior experience in this ministry, having served in AZ, CA, and MI. She is responsible for supervising and administrating the catechetical program which has approximately 300 students and over 40 dedicated volunteers. She attended Arizona Western College and Aquinas College in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Suzanne's daughter, Carly, is a social worker employed by Big Brother Big Sisters of Middle Tennessee. Her son Matthew and his wife Heather reside in Kalamazoo, MI.

Director of Adult Formation
Joceline Lemaire
is a native of Massachusetts, but has lived in Nashville since 1977. She received her BA from Brown University and holds a MA in Christian Education from Scarritt Graduate School. For fifteen years she worked as Associate Director and then Director of Ministry Formation Services for the Diocese of Nashville. She is Coordinator of the Nashville Ulster Project and is active in other community groups such as Sister Cities of Nashville and Act 1 Theater. Joceline is married to John Lozier; they have two grown daughters, Catherine and Suzanne.

Youth Minister
Lisa Vegors is originally from Memphis, TN and is the Youth Minister for the Cathedral. She is charged with planning educational, spiritual, community, and social projects for the high school aged parishioners for the Cathedral and Christ the King Parishes. She has earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology and Religion from Lambuth University and later received her Masters in Theological Studies from Vanderbilt University with her emphasis in Pastoral Care in the Catholic Church. She is married to a wonderful man named Josh Vegors who is very active around Nashville in leading praise and worship services for teens. He is also very active in her youth program.

Director of Music
Jackson Schoos is the Director of Music. He comes to us from the Diocese of Sacramento, California where he was Director of Music and Liturgy at the Cathedral of the Blessed Sacrament as well as Diocesan Director of Liturgy. He holds a Master of Arts Degree in Pastoral Theology, as well as a Master of Music Degree in both Choral Music and Vocal Performance. With over 25 years of parish and diocesan experience he brings a multitude of gifts to the parish.

Financial Director

Lori Reddick is the office administrator of the Cathedral of the Incarnation. She oversees the financial operations of the Cathedral as well as performing any necessary office work. Lori is a graduate of St. Cecilia Academy and attended Nashville Technical Institute.  She is married to husband Ray and has two sons: Alan and Michael.

Church Secretary

Lois Jones is one member of the invaluable secretarial staff of the Cathedral. Lois is the "vault of information" for the Cathedral. She knows who is in charge of a project, what they are doing and when they are doing it! She also maintains the parish membership database, so she also knows who is coming and going!! Lois is a graduate of Cumberland High School.  She is married to husband Willie Lee and they have seven children and nine grandchildren.

Facility Scheduler
Diane Carter is a long time member of the Cathedral and a native of Nashville. She and husband Lee have three sons who have served the parish in may capacities over the years. Diane is a graduate of St. Bernard High School and the University of Tennessee, where she received a degree in Dietetics. As Facility Scheduler, Diane is the one in the know about the who's, what's, when's and where's of the Cathedral, classrooms and social hall. Facility Management
Javier Martinez
directs the care and maintenance of our entire facility including janitorial services, set up for events and meetings, repair of equipment and emergency calls. Javier is employed by Schools Facility Management who holds a contract with the Parish.

If you have ever wondered what Fr. Kibby does on his off time - wonder no more! While Coti is not invited to celebrate Mass with us, she does have an open invitation to use the courtyard attached to the rectory at all hours of the day and night!
