Spirituality and Worship

Glory Night, December 5th
Contact: Fr. Neely at jneely@cathedralnashville.org The Diocese of Nashville Youth Office invites young adults to an evening of Adoration at Assumption Catholic Church. Join us at 7:00 pm for live music and a talk, followed by Eucharistic Adoration and Confessions in the church.

Men's/Women's Recollection

Each Recollection is similar to a two- hour retreat held at St. Mary of the Seven Sorrows Catholic Church (corner of 5th and Charlotte in downtown Nashville). Its purpose is to help men/women sanctify their ordinary lives in and through their work, family, and recreational activities.

The Men's Evening of Recollection will be held Wed., Dec. 18, from 6:00 to 8:00 pm. There is Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament, two meditations given by a priest, time for silent prayer, an opportunity for confession, and closing Benediction. Time for food and fellowship afterwards. (Street parking is free downtown after 6:00 pm; the church lot is paid parking on weekdays).

The Women's Morning of Recollection begins with Mass at 9:30 am, followed by time for prayer, confession, and a second meditation given by at priest. It concludes about 11:30 am with free lunch and time for fellowship downstairs. (Free parking at church lot for church events on weekends; put a church bulletin on your dashboard.)

Contact: Joe at joepnp@yahoo.com.
Come celebrate the holidays with the Cathedral Young Adults on December 13, at 7:30 p.m. Joe has graciously opened his home to us. Feel free to bring a dish or beverage to share

Follow these directions as Mapquest will get you lost:

Take I-65 South to Concord Road. Exit on Concord and make a left. Drive until you get to the third light which is Wilson Pike. DO NOT TURN on Wilson Pike. Stay on Concord Road. As soon as you pass Wilson Pike you'll see a small, hidden subdivision on your left which is Brentmeade. The street name is Jones Parkway. If you've gone more than 10 seconds on Concord once you've passed Wilson Pike, you've missed it. It's a hard entrance to see. Turn left onto Jones Parkway. Go to the 3rd stop sign which is Hunterboro and make a right. Go to the 4th street which is Chevoit and make a right. Joe's house is the last house on the street, 9307 Chevoit Drive, Brentwood, TN, 37027.

Call Joe if you get lost: (615) 500-5880.

This is your group. Get Involved!!
Are there service events or causes that you would like to see us get involved in? Is there some event that you would love to partake or some place that you would like to visit, but can't seem to find enough people interested in going?

Then by all means bring these great ideas of service events or fun social events to our planning meetings. Whether you would like to facilitate the event or just bring it to the table for us to plan and coordinate together, we would love to hear what you want to do!

Please keep in mind, the group is self-driven by its members, so we are only as active as you are!
